Stephanie is the Managing Partner of Kāhui Legal’s Rotorua office, where she brings her extensive experience as a litigator to a range of legal contexts affecting Māori.

Stephanie specialises in all litigation impacting whānau, hapū, and iwi, in particular family law, mental health matters, and has a strong focus on advancing positive outcomes for Māori, particularly tamariki Māori. With over a decade of experience in leadership roles as a partner in law firms, Stephanie has successfully managed litigation teams and represented clients at all levels of the judicial system, including the Family Court, Mental Health Court, Mental Health Review Tribunal, District Court, High Court, Māori Land Court, and various tribunals such as the Social Security Appeals Authority. She is frequently appointed by the Family Court as Counsel to Assist on complex legal matters and serves as Counsel for the NZ Central Authority in Hague Convention cases on international child abduction and the international recovery of maintenance. Stephanie has held numerous roles that demonstrate her dedication to the legal profession and her community, including serving as an Executive Member of the Family Law Section Ngā Rōia Ture Whānau and Te Hunga Rōia Māori, as well a Board of Trustee Member and Former Deputy Chair of the Bay Trust.
