Paranihia joined KĀHUI LEGAL in January 2008. Prior to joining KĀHUI LEGAL she worked for a large national law firm in their Māori Legal, Public Law and Corporate Advisory Groups.
Paranihia provides advice to clients on a range of public law, environmental, commercial and governance issues, as well as Treaty of Waitangi settlement negotiations. Paranihia has represented clients in the Māori Land Court, Environment Court, District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal on a variety of matters. She has also represented clients in the Waitangi Tribunal in a number of inquiries, including the Wai 262 Flora and Fauna, National Park, Whanganui, East Coast and Te Paparahi o te Raki Inquiries.
