Angela holds an LLB and a BCom (Commercial Law and Marketing). She joined Kāhui Legal as a Summer Clerk in November 2019 after completing her degrees at the University of Auckland and the University of Waikato. Angela holds a range of governance roles, including as an elected Trustee of the Ngāti Whakaue Assets Trust. Angela advises iwi organisations and entities on governance matters, particularly where these intersect with commercial arrangements, Māori land and Treaty issues. Angela is deeply committed to te reo Māori, both at home and in her professional life, and is raising her children with te reo as their first language. She is passionate about supporting whānau, hapū and iwi to navigate complex issues and achieve their long-term aspirations. Based in the Rotorua office, she works with clients across Aotearoa. In 2024, Angela was part of the team awarded the Te Pae Tata Award by Te Hunga Rōia Māori for their work on the Kura Kaupapa Urgent Inquiry, recognising legal work that advances Māori interests.
